Chin-Ju Tsai is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Human Resource Management at Royal Holloway, University of London. Previously, she held a research position at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, and a management role at Standard Chartered Bank. She holds a PhD in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge, is a member of the Academy of Management (AoM) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Chin-Ju’s current scholarly work focuses on cross-cultural leadership, exploring expatriate senior managers’ experience of leading people from different cultures. Her work has appeared in leading management journals including Human Relations, Human Resource Management Journal, Work and Occupations, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Organization, and International Small Business Journal. 

She has received several prestigious awards, including the Best Book award at the Relocate Global Awards 2024, the Best Paper award (HR Division) at the Academy of Management (AoM) annual conference in 2017, the Best Overall Paper award at the International Academy of Management and Business (IAMB) conference in 2015, and the Best Overall Paper award from the International Small Business Journal in 2010.
