Benjamin Major

Ben Major received a BMus in Music Education from Brigham Young University, beginning his career as a public school band teacher in the state of Utah. After teaching for six years, he returned to higher education to pursue a Master’s degree in England where he completed an MA in Music from the University of Birmingham. Ben is currently pursuing a PhD in Music at Royal Holloway, University of London where his research looks at game-specific tropes and their sonic qualities. His research interests include video game topics and tropes, audiovisual media, and 20^th century popular music.
