London NERC DTP PhD Student at the Centre for Quaternary Reasearch (Royal Holloway, Department of Geography) supervised by Dr Adrian Palmer and Dr Ian Matthews.
My research is on the rate of retreat of the last ice sheet in Britain; primarily focusing on the timing of ice retreat, landscape response to deglaciation and subsequent abrupt climatic shifts. My main aim is to apply a multi-chronological approach for dating lake sediment records which provide high-resolution and annually resolved (varved) records of deglaciation and subsequent abrupt climatic change.
Working PhD title: The nature and timing of deglaciation and landscape response to abrupt climatic change.
My broad scientific background has a strong base within the many key components of physical geographyModule examples:
Dissertation title: A preliminary tephrostratigraphy for Loch an Eilein, Dava Mor, Scotland. Supervised by Dr Alison MacLeod.
My specialised knowledge is focuse on the key aspects and principles of Quaternary Science as developed through the MSc in Quaternary Science at Royal Holloway.

On completion of this master's course, I was awarded the Ed Derbyshire Prize for the overall top achieving student of my cohort.
