Personal profile
Research interests
My research is about understanding how people think about their own personal futures and how this relates to their well-being and mental health. I also have a strong interest in well-being and positive mental health, especially in how it is implicated in future-directed thinking. My work on these topics spans the range, from research on basic processes to developing and evaluating interventions.
Other work
I am, or have been, on editorial boards of British Journal of Clinical Psychology, Cognition and Emotion, Journal of Happiness Studies, Mental Health, Religion and Culture, and Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice. I am also an Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Camden and Islington Mental Health Foundation Trust.
