    Personal profile

    Personal profile

I am the director of the Southeast Asia Research Group (SEARG), an international consortium that considers the geology of the SE Asia region.

Currently, my research focuses on the Cenozoic sedimentary deposits and palaeoenvironments of the Salin sub-basin, Myanmar and the Central and South Sumatra basins, Indonesia.

I use a multi-proxy approach combining field-based studies and traditional facies analysis with a big data sedimentary provenance approach using light and heavy minerals and geochronology on detrial grains to reconstruct source to sink pathways.

If you are interested in joining SEARG as a PhD student or a postdoc, or collaborating with the group, then please get in touch to discuss options.
