Amir Rafi holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing from Queen Mary, University of London, and an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, specialising in Security Testing, and Smart Cards, RFIDs and Embedded Systems Security. He has previously worked as an analyst programmer, developing software for the global financial market; a web developer; and an e-commerce consultant. He is currently completing his PhD in Cyber Security as a CDT student at Royal Holloway, and he is a member of the Information Security Group’s Smart Card and IoT Security Centre. Amir worked as a research assistant for the EU Horizon 2020 EXFILES project, which unites law enforcement agencies, universities, and the private sector towards developing novel mobile forensic methods. He is currently supporting the Distance Learning MSc Cyber Security programme at Royal Holloway as an online tutor, MSc project supervisor and examiner. His research interests include media broadcasting security, embedded devices, IoT and trusted execution environments.
