I am a researcher in neurobiology, with a particular interest in ageing and Alzheimer's disease (AD). My research focuses on understanding and minimising beta amyloid induced toxicites, such as oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, synaptic function and DNA damage in AD neurons.
I am also interested in the therapeutic potential of antioxidants in AD. Particularly if and how antioxidants minimise beta amyloid induced oxidative stress and their effects on the other induced toxicities.
