Adebola obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Lagos State University, Nigeria in 2004 and was called to the Nigerian bar the following year. Adebola also holds an LL.M (Corporate Governance) from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in law from Swansea University. Adebola's thesis titled ‘Promoting Sustainable Development Through Financed Projects: An Alternative Regulatory Tool’ examines the challenges with existing hard and soft regulatory instruments for lessening the adverse impacts of projects in developing countries. Adebola proposed a novel regulatory tool – the Contractor Led Standard (CLS) – that overcomes limitations, supplements the existing hard and soft regulatory instruments and promotes local contractor participation in the implementation of sustainable projects.

Adebola taught English Legal System and Legal Methods at the International College of Wales, Swansea from 2011 – 2016. Adebola also taught contract law, public law, and EU law at the Centre for Law and Business/University of London LLB International programme in Lagos, Nigeria.

Adebola worked as litigation counsel in a law firm in Lagos, Nigeria for two years and then he joined PAC Solicitors in 2008 before proceeding to Swansea University to commence his PhD programme. Upon completion of his PhD, Adebola rejoined PAC Solicitors and rose to the position of a Partner leading the Fintech and IT law unit of the firm. Adebola was also a key member of the firm’s Contracting and Transaction Structuring unit assisting clients in structuring transactions and documentation of major IT projects.
