This seminar was jointly organised by Professor John Hill of Royal Holloway, Professor Ian Christie of Birkbeck College and the UK Film Council. The aim of the seminar was to discuss the theoretical frameworks, concepts and methods involved in researching the cultural impact of UK film and consider how an understanding of cultural impact might inform government film policy.
