Ports of Call: audio trails and exhibitions around the Royal Docks, East London

Description

Three downloadable audio trails with triple-CD trail packs featuring oral history recordings and music specially composed for the trails. Funded by Heritage Lottery and the Royal Docks Trust. The project also involved working with artists Loraine Leeson mapping 'Precious Places' that were important to people the community and mounting metal plaques to celebrate them; and 'Take me to the River' - an exhibition at London City Airport featuring large scans of objects found by local children on the Thames foreshore with the help of archaeologist Andy Brockman and artist Helen Marshall.
