I am pleased to be hosting a group of academic colleagues from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) at Royal Holloway on 21–22 September for a two-day workshop entitled:
"Strategic Thinking for Cyber Resilience: Exploring Ethical Aspects"
The visiting team is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Nurul Nuha Abdul Molok, Research Lead for Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance at IIUM. Their recent work has examined strategic thinking, national cybersecurity strategy and cyber resilience through engagement with senior cybersecurity practitioners, and has informed the delivery of strategic cyber-resilience training to more than 200 Malaysian government leaders.
The workshop will bring this work together with research at Royal Holloway around cybersecurity, human factors, behavioural interventions, ethical decision-making and resilience. Alongside the workshop itself, we will use the visit to explore opportunities for joint research, publications and future international collaboration.
