Description

My review was identified by the Peer Review Editor and Editorial Board of Journal for Artistic Research 'for its thoroughness and depth. Thoughtful reviews are central to developing artistic research as a field and our authors constantly tell us that their research has hugely benefited from the insight and constructive criticism of reviewers.'

As artistic research as a field evolves, JAR is committed to responding to the needs of its communities, both as an international network and in local research groups. To this end, they are currently redeveloping our website to provide better access to their archive, more detailed information about who is involved in JAR—both editors and reviewers—and to create a new online community space for non-peer reviewed activity, for discussion, articles and commentary.

In light of this development, the new role of the Peer Review Board will be to continue to review for JAR when appropriate, to help find reviewers for submissions with niche topics, and to give input to the further development of JAR by letting us know how it can serve your community and students. In particular, as we want to begin to accept submissions in a selected number of additional languages, we may need assistance with finding reviewers in these languages and specialisms. It is our hope that, along with the Editorial Board, the Peer Review Board will also take an active role in the new community page.

I have accepted to become a member of the Peer Review Board of JAR, Journal of Artistic Research.
