This Community of Practice (COP) aims to bring social work practitioners who are interested in discussing and sharing ideas about the importance of gender pronouns together. The COP will begin with a short presentation from Karl Mason, Lecturer in Social Work at Royal Holloway, University of London including an overview of why gender pronouns are important, how this topic links more broadly to affirmative work with people who identify as LGBTQ+ and how this might be encountered in organisational practice or direct practice with people who use services.
