European Social Work conference 2017 in Paris. Use of Film in Social Work education

The workshop was based on our own research and a teaching initiative on using film can enhance the ethical development of social work students. The workshop attracted a European wide audience and the sharing of initiatives. Invitations were made to establish a network of social work educators using film in educative processes.

Along with a colleague I ran a conference workshop looking at how Film can be used as a tool to enhance the ethical development of social work students as future practitioners. The workshop consisted of a summary of our research study, a discussion forum sharing experiences of the use film, viewing a piece of film used in teach and a summative discussion.
