Description

I initiated and co-organise English: Shared Futures, the largest conference initiative in in the discipline. This collaborative project involves major stakeholders in the field across higher, further and secondary education (English Association, University English, National Association of Writers in English, Institute of English Studies and others). For English: Shared Futures 2017, I co-led a team of around 20 academics from different institutions and built trust, commitment and collegiality within the discipline. The 2017 event was a huge success (around 600 attendees, over 150 sessions, 17 learned societies, 15 publishers and 3 poets laureate).
