For English: Shared Futures 2022 we brought together 350 academics, teachers, writers and others with some 80 panels on new research, a REF Feedback session, a Head of Department’s Briefing and Networking event, a session on the new QAA Benchmark for English as well as plenary sessions on research and on professional matters. We supported a site-specific mentoring scheme for Early Career Academics, a national ‘Decolonising the Discipline’ launch and a publisher’s hall, with most of the UK academic presses and independent publishers from the North West.
