Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are becoming increasingly embedded within higher education, shaping how students access information, generate ideas, and complete academic tasks. While these technologies can support learning , they are also frequently used in ways that may undermine academic integrity and limit opportunities for independent thinking. There is a growing need to re-evaluate how we design and implement assessments, ensuring they equip students with the skills and critical understanding required to engage with AI ethically, effectively, and responsibly.
