an analysis of the famous ‘parts’ – both bodily and repetory – of two celebrity Restoration actors, Nell Gywnn and Colley Cibber, in order to illustrate how the actor’s body provided access to the celebrity’s ‘self’ while simulatenously shaping the celebrity persona.
